Tokuyama Estelite Omega PLT, EA2, 0.25 g is used for direct anterior and posterior restorations that require an EA2 enamel shade, controlled polychromatic layering, and preloaded-tip delivery. EA2 belongs to the enamel group within the Estelite Omega system, where it is used to recreate the outer enamel layer while allowing underlying dentin and effect shades to influence the final optical result.
In a Class IV anterior restoration, the material can be placed over a completed dentin build-up to refine facial contour, incisal anatomy, and enamel translucency before finishing and polishing. It can also support direct veneers, diastema closure, Class V restorations, and other layered composite procedures when EA2 is the selected enamel shade. Each pack contains 20 preloaded PLTs with 0.25 g of EA2 Estelite Omega composite in each tip. Dental offices ordering enamel-layer composite from their supplier can buy this preloaded PLT format for individually portioned dispensing, distinguishing this refill from the 4 g syringe configuration.
The light-cured restorative uses uniformly spherical supra-nano silica-zirconia and composite fillers averaging approximately 200 nm, with filler loading of 82% by weight and 71% by volume. This filler architecture supports smooth polishing, gloss retention, radiopacity, wear resistance, and controlled light interaction across layered restorations. Its sculptable consistency supports deliberate development of facial surfaces, proximal contours, line angles, and incisal form while helping the material maintain the intended anatomy before polymerization.Estelite Omega incorporates Tokuyama’s Radical Amplified Photopolymerization Technology, or RAP Technology, to provide extended manipulation time under ambient operatory light while supporting efficient curing.
Under specified conditions, EA2 provides up to 90 seconds of working time, allowing additional opportunity to refine enamel thickness, surface texture, and restorative contours before light activation. Depending on curing-light intensity and increment depth, qualifying EA2 increments can be polymerized in approximately 5 to 10 seconds. The spherical filler system promotes uniform light diffusion and a high-gloss polished surface while supporting the mechanical performance required for direct restorative use.
This EA2 PLT configuration is distinguished by its enamel-specific shade role, 0.25 g preloaded-tip format, and 20-count presentation, providing controlled unit-dose placement within the Estelite Omega polychromatic layering system.
